If you pass the road test, you would obtain a G2 licence. After 12 months you’ll take your first road test, although if you’ve attended an approved driving school, it can be taken after eight months. This allows you to drive with a licenced driver, with 4 years driving experience, in the car with you. When you’re 16, you can apply for a beginner’s licence, or a G1.
